The magic of Bandhay Ek Dour Se continues to keep us hooked

Bandhay Ek Dour Se is one of the few shows on-air right now that delivers on all aspects of wholesome good quality entertainment. The show is a true blue love triangle drama that hasn’t been done in the Pakistani drama industry for a while.

The show revolves around Umer, his childhood best friend Maheen, and the girl he loves, Roshni. Maheen is Roshni’s neighbor and has been instrumental in establishing Umer and Roshni’s relationship. By now, we all know that Roshni is a selfish and self-involved girl who only thinks about her own benefit. She’s only with Umer because he comes from an affluent family and has him wrapped around her fingers. Through an interesting turn of events, Umer and Maheen end up getting married while Roshni is seemingly sad about this, but in reality, she repents about losing a plain, simple guy like Umer who is ready to dance to her tunes whenever she snaps her fingers.

Upon seeing that Umer is heartbroken because he still loves Roshni, Maheen lets him meet her so they can sort things out. When Umer meets Roshni meets for the first time after his marriage with Maheen, he tells her he’s her culprit because he has betrayed her. Roshni sees this as another opportunity to get Umer back in her life while hurting Maheen at the same time. Things get complicated when Umer asks Maheen to meet Roshni for him to call her and explain to her that there’s nothing between them, and Umer belongs to Roshni and not her. This ends up happening more than often, causing troubles for Maheen with her in-laws and her personal life. She ends up telling Umer to either marry Roshni or parting his way from her for good.

Few things that make it such a fun watch is the fresh casting, the chemistry between the three leads, the strong families bond, and dynamic that’s showcased in the show and the overall performances.

The show wouldn’t have been what it is without the creative genius of the dynamic duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. They have a knack for picking a different yet thoroughly entertaining story and bringing together the best team to put it on the screen. Bandhay Ek Dour Se is no different.

It will be interesting to see whether Umer will eventually marry Roshni or if he will finally able to understand Maheen’s turmoil and give the love and respect she deserves. Bandhay Ek Dour Se airs on Thursdays at 8pm on Geo TV.
