7th Sky Entertainment gives sneak peeks into the year in entertainment in 2025!
– GLOSS ETC
Thunder, lighting, mountains and seascapes. What a picturesque way of starting off the new year! Add in a heavy dose of star-power and it’s enough to build up excitement.
Producers Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi of 7th Sky Entertainment heralded the beginning of the year in entertainment with a montage of sequences from their various upcoming dramas. It was an exciting roll-out of short videos, highlighting the many stars and high-end visuals set to unfold in the year ahead. It was also testament to the producers’ signature efforts to tell stories that open up expansive, entertaining new worlds on to the TV drama-scape.
In one glimpse, Ahmed Ali Akbar stood against a window frame, his hand splayed towards the rain, in another Ahsan Khan aimed with a gun. There was Feroze Khan in a boxing ring, Mehwish Hayat looking regal, Durefishan Saleem amidst fluttering pigeons, Saba Qamar playing policewoman and so much more. One spied what appeared to be a grand wedding ceremony and expansions mansions.
A galaxy of stars took center stage; amidst them, Ahsan Khan, Faysal Quraishi, Danish Taimoor, Ayeza Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Hira Mani, Saba Qamar, Durefishan Saleem, Osama Tahir, Usman Pirzada, Zahid Ahmed, Amna Ilyas, Junaid Khan, Feroze Khan and Ahmed Ali Akbar! The short, seconds-long snippets were intriguing. Was Ahmed Ali Akbar going to be enacting a seedy villain? Would Saba Qamar be starring in a crime thriller? Why did Ahsan Khan appear to be holding a baby all on his own?
Of course, these stars are all hugely popular names and they tend to be associated with multiple projects every year. What built up excitement, though, was the way the video was put together. It reminded one of similar efforts made internationally, where a channel or a production house’s top projects are celebrated through videos where different sequences are merged together.
This was a very similar power play by 7th Sky Entertainment and it worked like a charm, hauling in comments from fans on social media.
Simultaneously, this video triggered off commentaries because of the one drama that it did not feature in its lineup: the long-awaited, much-hyped sequel to the hit Tere Bin, Tere Bin 2. One had expected the drama’s release to be some time this year, especially since producers Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi and the drama’s leads Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi had confirmed back in 2023 that there would be a sequel.
Will Tere Bin 2 not premiere this year, especially since another 7th Sky Entertainment drama starring actor Wahaj Ali – Sunn Mere Dil – is currently airing on Geo Entertainment? Or perhaps, the premiere will be at the tail-end of 2025 – one remembers that the earlier Tere Bin had also started airing in late December, 2022.
Regardless, 2025 looks exciting for 7th Sky Entertainment and the Geo Entertainment channel, where the dramas will be airing. It’s a great way of announcing and uplifting the many dramas to come!
